Drinking Urine? You Must be Mad or Desperate!
That’s the typical response you can expect if you confide in someone
that you drink your own urine each morning – but why?
Natural Healing in History
The history of partaking of ones own water or 'Ameroli' (as it is
poetically called in India) goes back further than any other medical or
healing reference. The Damar Tantra dates back thousands of years
and describes in detail the method and benefits of Ameroli. Even the
Holy Bible comments on this subject - “Drink water from thine own
cistern, flowing waters from thine own well” [Proverbs 5.15]
The Vedic texts of India abound with natural healing wisdom, but
cloaked in the elegant verse of the time it is dismissed as quackery
by western rationalists.

Urine Therapy - Truly Natural Healing
Let’s take a step back a minute though – What’s wrong about
drinking your own water? You’ve done it before! In fact, not only have
you drunk it but you breathed it and it’s very essence helped to form
your lungs and organs. You can call it ‘Amniotic fluid’ if you like, but
there is very little difference. In the last two months of pregnancy, the
unborn baby is surrounded and filled mostly by urine.
Ameroli - why start now?
There is a growing body of evidence to suggest that urine actually
contains the precise medication that your body requires at any given
time. Your urine changes as your health changes. It has been used
successfully by many millions of people all over the world to treat
everything from the common cold to psoriasis to cancer. There is
even evidence that it may be useful for treating the multitude of ills that
can accompany AIDS. Millions of people in China, Japan, India as
well as Europe and the Americas are secret urine drinkers. You
cannot tell by just looking at them, except perhaps that their skin may
appear in excellent condition!
It's safe, it's a medicine perfectly
tailored to your needs, it's always
available, it's totally natural healing
and it's free.
My first encounter with the fascinating subject of ameroli was from a
magazine article. It was quite brief, but it seemed to make a whole lot
of sense. However, having been brainwashed into believing urine to
be dirty and unhygienic, I filed it in my memory banks, only to be used
in case of emergency and moved my attention onto more palatable
subjects.
Those words “Mad or Desperate to try this” stuck in my head though
and sure enough, desperation arose, although not for me, but my
lovely wife Lynne.
During a very hectic and stressful period of our lives we grabbed a
short and cheap get-away break to Portugal. Unfortunately, as so
often happens on these occasions, having been under stress for a
long period, the moment you relax, your body says ‘thank goodness
for that’ and drops it’s guard completely, allowing every little microbe
to come and play in your cells. Lynne went down hard and quickly
with pneumonia that virtually immobilized her and filled her with pain
and sickness. We are staunch homoeopaths though and at the time
believed that the doctor should be the last port of call.
Interestingly it has been noted on several occasions around the world
that the mortality rate reduces dramatically when doctors go on
strike. It happened in California where the death rate dropped by
18% during a physicians strike. In 1976 the death rate reduced by
35% in Bogota, Columbia for the same reason. It happened in
Britain and more recently in Israel where studies of three separate
strikes by physicians between 1976 and 2000 saw the number of
people being buried drop by up to 50%.

Drinking Urine - Medicine or Madness?
A short time after Lynne’s
encounter with urine, our
very elderly cat began
urinating indoors on the
floorboards.
Putting it down to old age we provided her with a litter tray. She
would happily use the tray for defecation but she insisted on using
the floor for urinating. Finally one day we caught her in the act and
were amazed to see her drinking some of it. She knew she was ill
and could not afford for the urine to soak away. Thereafter, she
happily used the small square of polythene we provided for her.
Goats are known to drink their own water mid stream as are all
monkeys and apes.
Animals (including humans) have a built-in instinct to use natural
healing methods, unfortunately, science is blinding us to nature and
greed is causing many businesses to blind us to what is a perfectly
natural way to maintain good health.

JW Armstrong - 'The Water of
Life' If you only ever read one
book on the subject of urine then
make it this one. Despite being
written in the 1930's Armstrong
treated over 40,000 people using
urine alone, many of these people
were beyond medical hope and his
short stories, written in a long
forgotten form of English make this
one of those books you cannot put
down. A slim paperback that won't
break the bank.
Koen Van Der Croon - 'The
Golden Fountain' For those who
want a more concise 'How To' guide
and want more up to date scientific
data, this is a good place to start.
Koen's no-nonsense approach is
easy to follow.

A basic list of individual diseases

material for those hungry for more

books to read list.
