Working at home - Choosing the right subject for your website

You need to create a website that is finely tuned to one subject.  The more focused
your website is on the chosen subject, the more Google will like you and the more
money you will make.

We all know something about something
You are NEVER alone in your subject of interest, however bizarre it might be.
Obviously some subjects are going to attract more people and more interest than
others, but then of course, you will have more competition.

You don't have to be a specialist in computer-programming, gardening or motor cars,
in fact the Internet is becoming so endowed with general topics such as these that the
more focused and detailed your subject, the better your chances will be of getting
traffic to your website.

Let's say, for example that you are interested in gardening.  It is possible to build a
website on gardening, but you will competing with THOUSANDS of other extremely
good and popular gardening sites.

If, however, you build a website around garden compost making and soil building, you
will only be competing with a few other sites.  There will obviously be fewer people
searching for such a specific subject, but the chances of getting people to look at
your pages will be considerably greater.....(One of the many benefits of working at
home is the allocation of more time in the garden!)

Your website can take many different forms too - it doesn't have to be one like this.
Interactive websites are exceedingly popular, in fact blogging is one the most popular
pass-times on the world wide web just now.  I will discuss blogging and forums a bit
later, but for now we will concentrate on the conventional website format, simply
because WE control the design and content.

Example
To give a real example of how finely you can tune your topic - Last week i was looking
on the Internet for a carburettor overhaul kit for my 'Troy Horse' rototiller.  What I
found were lots of people talking on forums about overhauling the engines on their
own Troy Horse tillers      ...
yawn .....yawn......!       Come on - stay with me here.  One of
these forums led me to a site that had all the details I needed to know about a
Troy-Bilt Horse including how many different makes of engine could be fitted to it.

Amazing! - I found exactly what I was
looking for and much more, including
an alternative engine, cheaper than it
was costing me to overhaul the old one! .

Now, if there are a few hundred nerdy
people out there talking about the engines on their 30 year old Troy-Bilt tillers
......what subject could
YOU create a website about that would attract lots of similar,
ad-clicking nerds?

Someone once said that she didn't know ANYTHING that she could create a website
about, since she spent most of their time working at home, looking after her elderly
disabled parents!  BINGO!!  What a topic!  Was she the only person in these
circumstances?  Absolutely not and such a site is likely to attract many regular visitors
looking for support or advice or just knowing that they are not alone in this awesome
task.

Once you have the foundation for your site, you will think or discover countless
different avenues that will enable you to expand to dozens if not hundreds of
pages........just remember to keep the website on-topic.  It's easy to stray from the
original path and the more you stray, the less value the magical search engines will
give to your site.

High value, focused website content is
exactly what the search engines are
looking for and if you have it they will
happily present your pages to anyone
searching for your chosen topic.  That's
FREE traffic and traffic means someone might click on your adverts and earn you a
few sheckles.

If you find other avenues that you wish to pursue, then grab another domain name,
build another website and refer the sites to each other.  It sounds like a lot of work
and it is, but Rome wasn't built in a day as the saying goes and if you can build two
websites with ten pages in each, then you have doubled your income potential.

That's the name of the game.  Increasing your income potential, by increasing your
presence on the Internet.  It's also immensely enjoyable if you love the subject you
are writing about.

Next step - creating your website
If you are serious about working from home then first of all you are going to need to
create a website and this can be really difficult and time consuming or really simple
and fun.

Let's take a look at the best website building options for the novice
working at home
Working at Home - Building the Perfect Income Generator

I have given you Google Adsense as the best income source on the Internet.
However.....there is always a teensy weensy little catch.  You have to provide a
website on which to place the adverts.
Building the website is not
necessarily the difficult part
and I will direct you to what i
all-in-one website building tool.
It's powerful, user friendly and
comes with support on the end
of the telephone!!
Woohooo!....but more of that in
a minute.

First you have to decide on the
subject of your new website.
This might seem like a difficult
choice at first glance, so let me
guide you here:
Beans of Wisdom
"All ambitions are lawful except
those that climb upward on the
miseries or credulities of mankind"
"I know I'll never understand women -

HOW!  can they take boiling hot wax,
pour it onto their upper thighs, rip the
hair out by the root and still be afraid
of spiders"
If you focus your site even more you could create a website
are extremely high that you will receive a large percentage of
the traffic actually seeking this information.

Once you get the interested visitor to your site you need to
monetize that visit - meaning squeeze some money from them!
